Institutional capital markets judgement for companies at critical moments
Most capital markets advisors come from communications. Our founder spent 15 years inside institutional markets and currently serves on the board of a £4.6 billion UK pension fund. That investor perspective informs every Stellium engagement.
Capital is more selective than ever
Institutional investors are inundated with opportunities. Retail investors are overwhelmed with noise. Companies competing for investor attention and capital face a fundamental challenge: being heard by the right people, with the right message, at the right time.
Most management teams are brilliant operators, but reading how a business looks through an investor's eyes is a different discipline entirely. It requires capital markets fluency, an understanding of how institutional capital is allocated, and the judgement to know which moments matter most. That's precisely what Stellium provides.
Trusted judgement. Brought to bear at the moments that matter.
Companies at critical junctures need someone who has worked inside institutional capital markets, who understands how investors evaluate risk and narrative, and who can apply that perspective directly to their situation. Stellium works with a small number of companies at a time — the selectivity is deliberate. It is what makes genuine senior attention possible.
We take on a limited number of engagements to ensure genuine attention and accountability. If we can't add value, we'll tell you — and we'll likely know someone who can.
Who We Work With
Stellium works with listed companies, pre-IPO businesses and private companies approaching significant capital markets events. Most clients engage the firm ahead of a financing, listing, acquisition programme, strategic repositioning or period where market recognition is lagging operational progress.
Judgement, not just delivery
Brokers can introduce you to investors. PR firms and marketing agencies can produce content and raise visibility. Traditional IR consultancies can run a communications programme. Stellium starts from a different place: institutional capital markets judgement, applied to the specific moment your company is facing.
That means understanding how institutional investors actually evaluate businesses like yours, identifying the gap between operational reality and market perception, and building a strategy to close it — before deciding which tools (introductions, communications, digital presence, content) are the right ones to deploy, and in what order.
Communications, access and execution all have their place. At Stellium, they sit downstream of strategy — applied with judgement, not sold as a menu.
Five disciplines, one integrated strategy
Each engagement follows the same logic: assess how the company is currently understood, advise on the strategy and narrative needed to close the gap, then execute through the channels — investor access, digital presence, content — that put that strategy into the market.

Management had a credible asset but an underdeveloped investment narrative. European institutional investors were largely unaware of the company despite strong drill results.
The company had strong operational results but limited institutional recognition — a valuation gap the market hadn't yet closed. Stellium rebuilt the investment narrative, identified where the company was being misread by the investors who mattered most, and ran a coordinated programme to close that gap across every relevant touchpoint. When the company approached the market, the stronger institutional understanding translated directly into better terms.
The company was undertaking a £30M capital raise on AIM with a lead broker whose investor relationships were predominantly domestic.
Stellium worked formally under the lead agent and identified and engaged a targeted group of international investors. Our introductions accounted for approximately £5M of the total raise.
Management of a private copper exploration company with a South East Asian asset were looking to meet potential investors for a first round capital raise.
Stellium leveraged our institutional and family office network to identify and introduce private market investors who provided lead orders in the financing totalling over £3M.
Stellium is led by Andrew Wilson, who spent 15 years inside institutional capital markets — working in investment management, institutional sales and stockbroking — before founding Stellium in 2016. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the East Sussex Pension Board (£4.6bn in assets) and as a non-executive director of several listed and private companies.
That investor-side experience is the foundation of every Stellium engagement: it shapes how the firm reads a company's market position, the judgement it brings to capital markets strategy, and the standards it holds its advice to.

Where we work best
Where to Start
An audit is often the right first move before any larger piece of work. It is a fixed-fee, no-retainer assessment of how your company currently looks to the investors you are trying to reach, where opportunities may be being missed, and whether a deeper engagement is likely to create value.
How does your company look through an investor's eyes?
Most management teams are too close to their own business to see what investors actually see. The Investor-Ready Audit gives you an independent, capital markets-informed assessment of your communications, narrative, and digital presence — and a clear plan to improve them.
Conducted personally by Andrew Wilson, drawing on 15 years of institutional capital markets experience. Not a generic report — a frank, specific assessment of your company.
The gap between how your company performs and how institutional investors value it is where Stellium works.
Stellium works with a limited number of companies at a time. If you are approaching an important decision and believe an experienced capital markets perspective would be valuable, we welcome a direct conversation about whether there is a fit.
