15 years on the investor side
Andrew Wilson spent 15 years inside institutional capital markets, working in investment management, institutional sales and stockbroking before founding Stellium in 2016. He is currently Vice Chair of the East Sussex Pension Board (£4.6bn in assets), alongside non-executive director roles at several listed and private companies.
Most IR advisors come from communications. Andrew came from the capital markets which is what shapes how he reads a company's positioning and what he tells clients to do about it.
Capital markets advisory, done well, is a matter of judgement — knowing which investor relationships to prioritise, how to frame an investment case for a specific institutional audience, and when the timing is right.
